Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

I had a good friend and work colleague, also a retained fireman, who had to breakĀ into a boat close to where I was moored. It’s two, very dead, occupants were still looking most peaceful and composed sitting in their favourite comfy chairs, arranged in front of the multi fuel stove, where they’d settled themselves for an evening’s reading after supper the night before.
Only thing was the draught through the low level door air vents had clearly been causing them some discomfort so they’d taped them up ………
Here endeth the first (and in their case only) lesson.
